Annual Progressive Dinner Set for Friday, Oct. 29

Tasty Event to Raise Funds for MyPath Programming

MyPath Mahoning Valley will hold its seventh annual Progressive Dinner – Warren Edition at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2021 in cooperation with several classic venues around the beautiful Courthouse Square in Downtown Warren.

Tickets are $75 per person, $140 per couple and $550 for a table of eight. Since 2015, these signature dinners have raised thousands of dollars to support MyPath’s work to help area students to successfully launch their post-high-school careers.

“We look forward to this annual event as a way to highlight the local restaurant community while raising funds to assist students to choose a successful path,” Executive Director Gerri Jenkins said. “Our programming is helping students as young as sixth grade make career plans and choices. Empowered with that knowledge, these students will steadily progress to be great future citizens.”

What is a progressive dinner? It is an event where guests enjoy a multiple course meal, but each course is at a different destination to create a memorable experience for the palate AND the senses from changes of scene.

The MyPath dinner party will start off at BRITE Energy Innovators with cocktails and snacks, where guests can purchase tickets for basket raffles. Following opening remarks, guests will be escorted to Beautiful Whirl’d for wine and soup + salad and Trumbull Art Gallery for wine and appetizers supplied by Cockeye BBQ.

After enjoying their appetizers, guests can choose to have their pre-selected dinner entree at either Saratoga, Jacked Steakhouse, West & Main, or CharBenay’s. The evening will wrap up back at BRITE with desserts from Mocha House and basket raffle winners announced.

Funds raised at the event will go towards programming as well as the Last Dollar Scholarship program, which annually distributes nearly $20,000 to local graduating seniors and first-year college students. Since 2002, MyPath has awarded scholarships to more than 300 area students.

Founded in 2001, MyPath Mahoning Valley is a non-profit organization that provides direct service to middle and high school students in Warren, Youngstown, and Campbell, assisting students through college and career exploration, financial aid application and scholarship searches, technical and workforce training, military enlistment, and direct entry into the workforce.
