Gerri began serving as executive director of MyPath in July 2019. Prior to that, she worked extensively in the field of higher education, most recently as the director of the Office of Counseling and Career Services at Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio, for almost twenty years.
Gerri began her career in higher education at Youngstown State University, where she served both business and engineering students by connecting them with internships and cooperative education opportunities, both locally and regionally. She also spent a year working with Kent State University’s Trumbull Campus, directing computer learning center programs at various Trumbull Metropolitan Housing Authority sites.
Prior to her work in higher education, Gerri was a broadcast news journalist in Ashtabula and Youngstown, and wrote for The Business Journal.
She received recognition by her peers for her work with education students as a recipient of the Hazel Brown Award, and has served on committees for the former Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education and as an officer of the Northeast Council for Career Advancement. She also served as a board member for the Hopewell Theater (formerly Victorian Players) and one term on the Youngstown City Board of Education.
A member of the Rotary Club of Youngstown, Gerri lives in Vienna Township, is the mother of three, grandmother of four and is a doctoral candidate at Northcentral University.
