MyPath is a non-profit organization that provides services to high school students exploring college education, career or technical training, workforce opportunities and military service.

Helping Students Identify and Follow Their Paths

Our goal is to provide students and families with the resources and tools that enable them to confidently take the next steps toward their career goals. They are the future of the Mahoning Valley and we are here to help them decide what that future looks like to them.

We are administered by a board of 13 directors, and our team is led by Executive Director Gerri Jenkins. Our team works directly with students in the high schools we serve, including Warren G. Harding, Campbell Memorial and Youngstown East, Chaney and Rayen Early College. We also serve the IMPACT Academy in Campbell.

In addition to providing financial advising and guiding students through scholarship applications, we also offer our own scholarship – the MyPath Last Dollar Scholarship – to graduating seniors, who then have the chance to receive scholarship funds for a second year.

Our History

MyPath, formerly known as the Mahoning Valley College Access Program, was formed and began serving students in Youngstown and Warren in 2002. We later expanded our efforts into the Campbell school district.

Since our early days, we have broadened our scope far beyond college access to include service to students seeking access to other pathways. Now we help students prepare for whatever directions they decide to take — college education, career and technical training, employment or military service.

We have served more than 10,000 students across the Mahoning Valley with one-on-one advising, including financial aid counseling and admissions assistance. More than 300 students have also received Last Dollar Scholarships. MyPath most recently awarded college-bound students nearly $20,000 in scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year.
